Lateral Floor Arc - Murray's Garden, Hill End

H5 x W143 x L154 cm

Japanese ink on Arches paper.

Made on a residency at Hill End in regional New South Wales, this floor drawing was created in the garden of Murray's Cottage on a day of steady rain. The pleated arc structure allows for the mapping of surrounding distal aural and visual stimulus onto a surface relative to the reach of my arm. This work is part of a series of investigations into how listening can challenge and extend traditional forms of engaging with place and landscape.
